Sports News] Following the conclusion of the much-anticipated 2023 World
Footballer Award Ceremony, Lionel Messi, the Argentine legendary star, emerged
as the winner. Messi’s victory marked his record-breaking achievement as the
player with the most FIFA World Player of the Year titles in history. At the
age of 36, he became the oldest player to win the award in the 21st century.
However, Messi, who had recently joined Inter Miami, did not attend the award
ceremony in person. Subsequently, he made his first social media update after
being crowned and released an advertisement for his sponsor, Adidas. The
advertisement featured Messi wearing an Inter Miami training uniform and Adidas
sneakers, accompanied by the caption: “Come on! @adidas.” The 2023
World Footballer of the Year award aimed to recognize the outstanding
performances of male players between December 19, 2022, and August 20, 2023.
Messi had created numerous remarkable moments during this period, including
winning the season assists title with 16 assists while playing for Paris
Saint-Germain. Additionally, he was selected for the season’s best team and
contributed to the team’s victory in the French Ligue 1 championship.
