[Saba Sports News] Argentine legend and current MLS Inter Miami player Lionel Messi revealed in a recent interview with the media that he intends to retire while playing for Inter Miami, making it the final club of his playing career. The announcement garnered significant attention as it came directly from Messi himself. He stated, “I’m not ready to bid farewell to football. I try to savor every moment because I know there are fewer and fewer opportunities. I’m thoroughly enjoying my time at the club and feel fortunate to have such wonderful teammates and friends. Inter Miami will be my final club.” Messi officially joined MLS outfit Inter Miami in July 2023, signing a two-and-a-half-year contract with an optional one-year extension in 2026. This suggests that he may retire once his contract expires or possibly after exercising the extension clause. In the meantime, fans can still look forward to seeing Messi on the pitch in the coming seasons.
