Recently, Mayank Agarwal, a star batter from Karnataka, posted a video of himself scoring an impressive 21.1 in the yo-yo test as he prepares for the upcoming domestic season. His outstanding performance in the Maharaja Trophy adds to his efforts to regain a spot in the Indian Team.
The yo-yo test involves sprinting back and forth over a 20-meter distance with progressively shorter time intervals, assessing endurance. India, under Virat Kohli’s captaincy, set a minimum benchmark of 16.1 for players.
Remarkably, some players have even surpassed Kohli’s score, such as Manish Pandey (19.2), Mayank Agarwal (20.1), Ahmed Banday (19.4), Mayank Dagar (19.3), and Hardik Pandya. Players’ scores fluctuate based on their fitness levels during the test.
