[Saba Sports News] Indonesian badminton superstar Marcus F. Gideon shared photos on social media of his family’s enjoyable visit to Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, accompanied by his wife and three children. The images depict Gideon and his wife joyfully interacting with their kids, garnering comments and likes from his admirers. Some observers noted that Gideon and his wife welcomed three children within five years, explaining their apparent weight gain, humorously suggesting that this is the fruit of their happiness. Standing at 1.68 meters, Gideon may not be the most conspicuous figure among Indonesia’s male doubles talents, but his solid playing style is highly regarded within the national team. Eventually, Gideon formed a formidable partnership with Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, widely recognized as a once-in-a-generation talent. Dubbed the “Minion Team” by their legion of fans, Suka Muyo and Gideon reigned supreme in the Badminton World Super Series, amassing 34 titles and topping the men’s doubles world ranking for 214 consecutive weeks. However, as age and injuries took their toll, the pair’s performance has declined in the past two years. Earlier this year, on his 33rd birthday, Gideon announced his retirement from the sport.
