[Saba Sports News] According to the latest reports from English media, Manchester United’s special working group will submit a proposal regarding the future of Old Trafford Stadium by the end of 2024. This working group was established earlier this year to explore future development options for Old Trafford. It is reported that there are currently two main renovation plans for Old Trafford. One option is to renovate the existing stadium, focusing on rebuilding a world-class south stand while renovating the other three stands. The other option is to build a new stadium on land near the existing one, which would minimize disruption to matches and operations during renovations. The cost of building a new stadium is expected to exceed £2 billion, while the cost of renovating the stadium is about half that of building a new one. I believe that regardless of which option is ultimately chosen, it is essential to fully consider fan opinions and the long-term interests of the club to ensure that Manchester United maintains its leading position in football in the future.
