[Saba Sports News] Manchester United officially announced that the world-famous global architectural studio Foster+Partners will soon be appointed by the club to develop a master plan for the area surrounding Old Trafford. The planning area will cover all the land currently owned by Manchester United around Old Trafford. The focus of the plan will be to design a world-class football tourism destination and “home” for Manchester United fans. Additionally, it will include a broader master plan involving multifunctional development projects. This will benefit the local community by attracting new residents, increasing job opportunities, and making it a vibrant tourist spot that attracts visitors from Manchester, the UK, and around the world. The planning work will involve substantial engagement with fans, community residents, local authorities, and the Old Trafford redevelopment working group. Their feedback and views will be incorporated into the overall planning design. Furthermore, Foster+Partners will provide top-notch advice on how the overall planning of the Old Trafford area can best complement and align with the existing Trafford Wharf master plan and the construction goals of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority for this area of the city.
