Sports News] During the 18th round of Serie A, Roma’s away match against
Juventus, there were contrasting reactions from the home fans towards Roma’s
forwards, Romelu Lukaku and Paulo Dybala. Lukaku, who had previously faced
racial discrimination from Juventus fans while playing for Inter, was subjected
to vehement booing by 40,000 Juventus supporters in the stadium. It is
noteworthy that Lukaku was close to joining Juventus during the summer transfer
window, with negotiations involving a potential exchange with Dusan Vlahovic,
but the deal ultimately fell through, and Lukaku was loaned to Roma instead. On
the other hand, Dybala, who had played for Juventus for seven years and
contributed to the team’s triumph in five Serie A championships, received
applause from the home fans. Dybala has earned the respect and admiration of
Juventus supporters over the years.
