[Saba Sports News] Two days before the start of the Paris Olympic Games, the Chinese badminton team officially entered the Olympic Village and began training at La Chapelle Porte Stadium, where the competition will be held. They focused on getting accustomed to the three venues within the stadium. Although the French Badminton Open was held at this stadium in March of this year, the Olympic Games have some differences. The badminton competition at the Paris Olympics will not use dim lights all around; instead, the lights will be on throughout the venue. Additionally, with the purple main color of the Olympic Games and the unique purple-pink badminton, players will need some time to visually adapt. During training, one player who showed great dedication was Liu Yuchen, as it was his 29th birthday on the 25th. When asked about having a birthday during the Olympics, Liu Yuchen expressed his hope to celebrate with a gold medal. In the previous Olympic Games, Liu Yuchen won the silver medal in men’s doubles. This time, his journey to the Olympics was not smooth, and it was not until the Asian Championships, the last competition for Olympic qualification points, that he and his partner Ou Xuanyi secured their spot in the Paris Olympics.
