[Saba Sports News] Bangladesh batter Litton Das has flown back to his home country for a family emergency.
Reportedly, Litton and and his wife Debosri Biswas Sonchita are expecting their first child. This could be reason of Litton going to Bangladesh midway through the World Cup 2023.
The media and communications manager of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Rabeed Imam informed about Litton’s leave, confirming that the 29-year-old will join the team on November 3.
“Due to his family emergency, Liton took a leave and will join the team
ahead of the team’s training session scheduled on November 3 in Delhi,”
Rabeed said as quoted to to The Daily Star.
Bangladesh are the only side in the ongoing World Cup which has been eliminated from the semi-final race. They have won just one of their seven games, languishing at the ninth position on the points table.
They have two league matches left against Sri Lanka and Australia on November 6 and 11 respectively.
