[Saba Sports News] Spanish media recently discussed Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski’s contract and the release clause included. According to reports, this season could be crucial in determining Lewandowski’s future at Barcelona. Lewandowski is currently in the middle of his contract with Barcelona, marking his third season and the highest-earning year according to the contract’s incremental salary structure. His pre-tax income was 20 million euros in the first season, 26 million euros in the second season, and will reach 32 million euros this season. In the final season (2025/2026), his salary will return to 26 million euros. However, the final year of the contract includes an important condition. If Lewandowski’s playing time does not exceed 55% of Barcelona’s total games in the 2024/2025 season, Barcelona can unilaterally terminate his contract the following summer. This clause gives Barcelona the option to let the player leave, and the club will closely monitor the striker’s performance after doubts arose about his performance at the end of last season.
