[Saba Sports News] LeBron James hasn’t ruled out the idea of teaming up with longtime rival Steph Curry.
The Los Angeles Lakers star spoke to reporters on Monday, reflecting on his positive experience this summer alongside Curry, his Olympic gold medal teammate.
When asked if he could see himself teaming up with Curry again, James responded, “I have no idea,” according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
James’s response leaves the door open, particularly as he approaches the later stages of his career. He could become a free agent next summer by declining his $52.2 million player option for 2025-26.
Curry, signed with the Warriors through 2027, has been one of James’s biggest rivals, especially after besting him in three of their four NBA Finals matchups. However, the two joined forces briefly in 2023 when the Lakers eliminated Curry’s Warriors from the playoffs.
It’s also notable that a possible trade sending James to the Warriors was reportedly discussed last season but blocked by his agent, Rich Paul.
