[Saba Sports News] According to German media, Bayern Munich’s coaching staff will use drones to assist with training this season. During a recent Bayern Munich training session, a drone was seen hovering above the training ground. The drone is operated by Vincent Kompany’s personal assistant, Rodyse Munienge, who has worked with Kompany during his time at Burnley and Anderlecht. Munienge was seen holding a device resembling a video game controller at the start of the training session. He occasionally pressed buttons on his remote, causing the drone to move slightly, clearly controlling it to observe and film the training. The aerial footage can provide a unique perspective for analyzing positioning and players’ running routes. Kompany and his coaching team hope to use this modern technology to make Bayern Munich’s training more scientific.
