[Saba Sports News] Kevin Durant didn’t just win a gold medal with Team USA in Paris; he also made a business move.
Durant is set to become a minority shareholder in French soccer club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), according to multiple reports.
During the Olympics, Durant was spotted at PSG’s facilities and met with key figures. The deal was confirmed by top European soccer reporter Fabrizio Romano. PSG, primarily owned by a Qatari investment company, is France’s top club, with 12 league titles in the last 14 years.
Despite their domestic success and star-studded roster, including players like Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, they’ve faced criticism for not winning the UEFA Champions League.
Durant joins other NBA players in investing in European soccer, following in the footsteps of his Team USA teammate LeBron James, who has held a minority stake in Liverpool for over a decade.
