[Saba Sports News] New Zealand white-ball captain Kane Williamson is set to miss the upcoming three-match series against Australia as he and his wife await the birth of their third child.
Williamson is currently playing a two-match Test series versus South Africa. Making his comeback from a hamstring injury at the Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui, the Kiwi batter smashed centuries in both the innings of the first Test. He also became the only New Zealand player to record 30 Test hundreds.
After featuring in the second match of the ongoing series, which will commence on February 13 in Hamilton, Williamson will fly back to his home to stay with his wife during the birth of their third child.
The T20I series between New Zealand and Australia will kick-off on February 21 in Wellington. It will be a followed by a two-match Test series, slated to begin on February 29.
