[Saba Sports News] Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown went viral for a funny comment following his team’s comeback win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night. Brown scored 24 points as the Celtics edged out the Pacers 114-111 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Pacers were without their best player, Tyrese Haliburton, who was sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Despite Haliburton’s absence, Indiana led by double digits for much of the game. When asked about the Pacers players stepping up in Haliburton’s absence, Brown delivered a memorable quote with an F-bomb.
“I think Indiana played well. We can say that we didn’t play as well tonight, but I felt like you just had to be out there to kind of feel it,” Brown said. “They was just flying around and then they were shooting the ball well. Some of those guys turned into f—ing Michael Jordan or whatever. It was like, what is going on? We couldn’t figure it out.”
The Pacers dominated much of the game, seemingly unable to miss at times. Brown likely referred to players like Andrew Nembhard, who scored 32 points on 12-of-21 shooting, and T.J. McConnell, who had 23 points on 10-of-17 shooting. Nembhard averaged just 9.2 points per game during the regular season, while McConnell averaged 10.2.
Despite their strong performances, the Pacers blew a late lead and fell victim to another questionable decision from head coach Rick Carlisle. Indiana is now down 3-0 in the series and on the verge of being swept.
