[Saba Sports News] The 2024 Summer Olympics are set to take place in the “Romantic City” of Paris. Perhaps influenced by the host country’s fashionable temperament, various national teams’ competition uniforms have become a subject of competition themselves. Yesterday, a renowned Japanese sports brand unveiled a series of competition uniforms specifically designed for female athletes, expected to be used by Japanese athletes competing in table tennis, volleyball, 100-meter relay, badminton, and other events. The highlight of these new uniforms lies not in their stunning design, but rather in the incorporation of the latest technology called Dry Aeroflow Rapid. This technology enhances perspiration and breath ability while effectively absorbing most infrared energy, preventing infrared cameras from capturing athletes’ exposed skin. Female athletes in Japan have long faced the issue of secret photography. Chiharu Shida, a Japanese badminton player, once expressed her frustration with viewers who disproportionately zoomed in on her breasts and buttocks to create provocative photos. Shida revealed that during matches, she had to divert her attention and ignore the sound of cameras clicking on the sidelines, knowing that numerous cameras were focused on her body. The introduction of these anti-peeping uniforms aims to address this concern.1
