Sports News] Brentford forward Ivan Toney recently discussed the potential for
a transfer during the summer in an interview with the media. Ivan Toney
jokingly remarked, “If Brentford wants to sell me, they can make money,
and I’ll go to Real Madrid, perfect!” The 28-year-old Toney joined
Brentford in January of this year from League One side Peterborough United.
After serving a six-month ban for violating FA betting regulations, he has
played nine games and scored four goals. Currently, Toney is valued at €50
million. Previous reports indicated interest from Arsenal and Chelsea in
acquiring his services, but Brentford’s asking price of up to £100 million was
not met. Additionally, 22-year-old Brazilian striker Thiago, who was signed by
Brentford for €37 million, will join the team this summer. Therefore, sources
suggest that Ivan Toney intends to join a top-tier club during the upcoming
transfer window.
