[Saba Sports News] The IPL 2023 final, hailed as one of the greatest in recent times, saw Chennai Super Kings facing Gujarat Titans at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on May 29. Rain disruptions led to the game being extended to the reserve day, but MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings emerged victorious, securing their 5th IPL title.
During an event called “Unplugged with MS Dhoni” by HomeLane, Chennai Super Kings’ skipper, MS Dhoni, described the IPL 2023 final as if it were scripted by a divine hand.
At the same promotional event, MS Dhoni also discussed India’s prospects in the ODI World Cup 2023. Under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, India remains unbeaten in the tournament, having won all five of their matches against Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. Dhoni expressed that the team looks well-balanced, with all players in good form, indicating a positive outlook for India’s campaign.
“Understand the feeling. It’s a very good team. There’s a good balance on the team. Every player is doing well. Everything is looking very good. So, I won’t say much about it now; rest assured, the one who’s wise will grasp the hint provided,” Dhoni said.
Currently in second place in the standings with 10 points from five games, India is only behind South Africa, who have played one more match. Their next match is against defending champions England in the 29th game of the tournament, scheduled for Sunday, October 29.
