[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, FIFA President Gianni Infantino will organize an urgent meeting with global broadcasters to discuss the broadcasting of the Club World Cup. The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled to take place in the United States from June 15 to July 13, 2025. Currently, FIFA has not announced the broadcasting partners, match venues, training bases, or sponsors for the event. The clubs participating in this tournament, including Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain, have also not been officially informed about the participation fees and bonuses they will receive. Previously, FIFA had negotiated a global streaming broadcast agreement with Apple, but the deal did not materialize. This means FIFA has to open bidding to attract broadcasters from around the world to take on the broadcasting of the first two new Club World Cups in 2025 and 2029. Although the expansion of the Club World Cup is a significant undertaking, there are indeed many issues given the current situation. Therefore, promoting his plan will not be simple for Infantino. Balancing financial growth with player health is the primary challenge that needs to be addressed. If the focus is solely on making money without considering other factors, it is likely that his plan will be difficult to implement.
