[Saba Sports News] The much-awaited India vs Pakistan ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 clash is set for Saturday, October 14 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. Fans are eagerly anticipating this epic showdown, despite soaring travel and accommodation costs in Ahmedabad.
There have been rumors circulating that Team India might wear an orange/saffron jersey for the match against Pakistan, similar to the one they wore during the 2019 World Cup game against England. However, BCCI treasurer Ashish Shelar has confirmed that the Indian team will stick to their traditional blue jersey for this World Cup, dispelling these baseless reports.
While some Indian cricketers have been seen wearing orange/saffron-colored clothing during training, this is only for practice sessions. The official blue jersey will be worn during the actual matches.
Both India and Pakistan have begun their World Cup campaigns with wins, with Pakistan defeating Netherlands by 81 runs in Hyderabad and India securing a six-wicket victory over Australia in Chennai.
Notably, India holds a perfect 7-0 record against Pakistan in World Cup encounters, adding to the pressure on Babar Azam’s team to break this losing streak against the Men in Blue on their home turf. India, on the other hand, aims to continue their dominant run and extend their winning streak to 8-0.
