[Saba Sports News] Robyn Hayward, wife of NBA player Gordon Hayward, expressed her displeasure with recent comments made by Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti. In his end-of-season interview, Presti discussed the trade deadline acquisition of Gordon Hayward, admitting the move “did not work out” and that he “missed on that.”
Robyn responded on Instagram, questioning why the team traded for Gordon but did not play him. She noted, “missed it by not integrating him,” and added that Gordon had warned Presti the trade didn’t make sense.
The Thunder had hoped Gordon would be a valuable veteran presence, but he averaged just 17.2 minutes per game in the regular season and only 6.6 minutes in the playoffs. Instead, OKC prioritized younger players like Aaron Wiggins, Isaiah Joe, and Cason Wallace. Gordon, now a free agent, is likely to leave Oklahoma City, a sentiment he echoed in his exit interview.
