politics after retirement. Ge Fei, a prominent figure in the women’s doubles
category, is one such example. She is an esteemed figure in Chinese badminton,
having secured 13 world championships and clinched the women’s badminton
doubles championship in the 26th and 27th Olympic Games, earning her the
moniker “Queen of Badminton.” Due to her remarkable career
achievements, Ge Fei was appointed as the deputy director (deputy department
level) at the Nanjing Institute of Physical Education by the Jiangsu Sports
Bureau following her retirement. After years of dedicated work, she now holds
the position of deputy director at the Nanjing Municipal Sports Bureau, at the
deputy department level. In terms of administrative ranking, Ge Fei has
surpassed her fellow badminton player Lin Dan. Regarding her salary, Ge Fei
earns an annual income of over $30,000. In recent years, Ge Fei has been
actively promoting national fitness initiatives, contributing to the
development of future talent for the Chinese badminton team, and striving to
uphold the glory of Chinese badminton.
