[Saba Sports News] The Ferrari team announced the appointment of Loic Serra from the Mercedes team as the new chassis technical director, reporting directly to team principal Frederic Vasseur. This adjustment follows the departure of former technical director Enrico Cardile to Aston Martin. According to British media, Loic Serra and Jerome D’Ambrosio are part of a talent exchange between Ferrari and Mercedes. Former Ferrari designers Simone Resta and Enrico Sampo will join Mercedes on October 1, taking on roles as strategic development director and performance software application director, respectively. As part of the contractual agreement with Ferrari, Loic Serra and Jerome D’Ambrosio will start working in Maranello on the same day. Loic Serra was born in France in 1972 and studied mechanical engineering at university before working at Michelin, BMW-Sauber, and Mercedes AMG F1.
