[Saba Sports News] Surprisingly, 2024 may witness
the fewest technical rule changes in recent years. According to the rules
disclosed by the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile), major changes
primarily focus on safety regulations. These include more rigorous roll cage
crash tests, cockpit tests, rear impact tests, and new wheel safety cable
regulations. Changes directly affecting performance are mainly related to the
deformation of the front wing and floor. The design range for the front wing
aileron is now limited, and there are stricter regulations regarding the use of
metals on the floor. Furthermore, the design of the driver’s cooling airflow
inlet in the cockpit is subject to stricter guidelines this year. In terms of new
technologies, there have been a couple of notable changes. Firstly, the
introduction of the rim LED display system, originally planned for 2024, has
been canceled. Secondly, the use of biometric devices, which assist in rider
rescue, is no longer limited to gloves and may be found in other items such as
hoods and fireproof underwear.
