[Saba Sports News] After losing the fourth Test of the ongoing series against India in Ranchi, the England players are likely to go an brief break before the final match of the tour scheduled in Dharamsala.
With still over nine days remaining for rhe fifth Test match to begin, the touring party will repeatedly split into two batches, spending this mini break in Chandigarh and Bengaluru, where they will remain away from cricket.
“The squad will be split across Chandigarh and Bengaluru before the fifth Test. They are unlikely to hit the nets during the break. The squad arrives in Dharamsala about three days before the Test (March 4),” an ECB source said as quoted to PTI.
Notably, the English team had flown to Abu Dhabi after losing the second Test in the series for regaining their energy in the middle of the tour.
With this defeat, England have lost the series as India have gained an unassailable lead of 3-1. This also marked the first series defeating for England in the Bazball era under the captain-coach duo of Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum.
