[Saba Sports News] Recently, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery expressed his dissatisfaction with Morgan Rogers being called up to the England U21 team, stating that it would only increase the risk of injury for the player. Emery said: “What does a player like Rogers gain by playing for England U21? I was surprised they decided not to call him up to the senior team; I respect that decision, but going to the U21? Rogers should not be a U21 player; I hope he returns safely. Last season, Ramsey returned to the club injured and barely played all season; it was very painful for us; without him, the team lost a lot. If they had called Rogers up to the senior team, I could understand; he is already an outstanding player whose performance proves he should not be playing for U21.” Additionally, Emery bluntly stated: “Last season, I had the same view about Aaron Ramsey; he was ready to play for the senior team but instead went to U21, got injured, and then struggled all season.”
