[Saba Sports News] Draymond Green has never been a fan of Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert, and he took another jab at him after the T-Wolves lost Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Friday. The Timberwolves fell 109-108 after Luka Doncic hit a clutch three-pointer over Gobert in the final seconds at Target Center in Minneapolis. Doncic then directed some fierce trash talk toward Gobert.
After the game, Doncic joined the “Inside the NBA” panel, where Draymond Green heard “Draymond sucks” chants from a few Timberwolves fans. Green responded, “Rudy sucks, not me. What did I do? I didn’t do anything. [Luka Doncic] did it to them, not me.”
Green has had ongoing beef with Gobert and hasn’t missed opportunities to take swipes at him, including an infamous incident earlier this season where Green put Gobert in a chokehold, leading to Green’s suspension.
Despite the criticism, Gobert had a solid performance in Game 2, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds on 6/10 shooting. However, the ridicule might sting more if the Timberwolves don’t make a comeback in the series.
