[Saba Sports News] Milwaukee Bucks’ head coach Doc Rivers has expressed concern over his team’s recent performance, noting something is amiss following a series of losses.
In the aftermath of losing four out of their last five games, including defeats to lower-ranked teams like the Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies, Rivers shared his observations. He pointed out a lack of focus and professionalism, especially during away games, during a postgame press conference after a loss to the Wizards.
Rivers highlighted his role as an observer of not just the players but also the logistical aspects of the team, such as travel arrangements, stressing the absence of a professional attitude during away games. He remarked, “Something’s missing. Everybody seems happy, except for me after a game. We’re doing something wrong and we have to figure that out.”
With the playoffs on the horizon, Rivers underlined the urgency of rectifying these issues. Despite maintaining the second spot in the Eastern Conference with a 47-29 record, the Bucks’ performance on the road has been notably poor, losing six of their last eight away games. This has positioned them as the only top eight team with a losing road record (18-20).
Since taking over as head coach in January, Rivers has frequently critiqued the Bucks’ efforts, applying a tough love approach that has yet to yield consistent positive results on the court.
