[Saba Sports News] Patrick Beverley announced this week that he has signed with a new team after receiving an offer he couldn’t refuse. Details of his contract have now been revealed.
Beverley’s deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv BC of the Israeli Premier League will earn him $2 million next season, with the potential to earn an additional $1 million in bonuses if the team wins the EuroCup and qualifies for the EuroLeague, according to Sportando.
The 36-year-old Beverley averaged 20.0 minutes per game off the bench last season, a significant reduction from his usual starting role and minutes throughout his NBA career, except for his rookie season in 2012-2013.
Instead of continuing as a bench player in the NBA, Beverley chose to head to Israel, where he will likely be a focal point for the team and still earn a substantial base salary.
Last season, Beverley averaged 6.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game across 73 games with the 76ers and Bucks.
