[Saba Sports News] The AFC recently announced the latest list of club disciplinary penalties, revealing that Cristiano Ronaldo has been fined 15,000 for violating sponsor rules during the AFC pre−match press conference. The AFC official stated:” On March 11, 2024, during the pre−match conference between Riyadh Victory vs. AlAin in the AFC Champions League, Cristiano Ronaldo displayed products with the logos of other sponsors or third parties and was fined 15,000. Further violations may result in more severe penalties.” Additionally, Riyadh Victory Club has also been fined $7,500 for failing to ensure compliance with the relevant AFC rules among their players. Currently, Ronaldo is competing in the European Championship with Portugal. In the upcoming round of 16 of the European Championship, Ronaldo will lead Portugal against Slovenia. Despite starting in three group stage matches, Ronaldo has yet to score a goal.
