[Saba Sports News] During a recent French Ligue 1
match between Montpellier and Clermont, an unfortunate incident occurred.
Dissatisfied with the performance of their goalkeeper, Mory Diaw, some extreme
Clermont fans expressed their frustration by throwing debris and firecrackers
onto the field. As a result, Mory was struck by a firecracker and fell to the
ground. He was immediately taken off the field on a stretcher and transported
to the hospital for treatment. Subsequently, the match was terminated and will
not be resumed. Both Montpellier and Clermont may face disciplinary actions
from Ligue 1 as a consequence of this incident.
