[Saba Sports News] Throughout the Christmas period, China’s prominent
badminton player, Chen Yufei, remained dedicated to her training regime,
actively preparing for the upcoming Malaysia Open in January of next year. To
intensify the training, Chen Yufei incorporated the use of a “sand
suit.” Regarding this, she expressed that her recent training sessions
have been very rigorous. Wearing the sand suit helps enhance overall court
performance and speed. Chen Yufei aspires to astonish her fans at the Malaysian
Open. The sand suit refers to a specially-designed vest used in military
training. It includes small pouches where iron sand, river sand, or steel
plates can be added based on individual needs. The weight-bearing capacity of
the vest can be adjusted, ranging from 3kg to 30kg. From the editor’s
perspective, training in sand clothes offers numerous benefits. Firstly, it
improves cardiopulmonary function and keeps badminton players active during
extended rallies. Secondly, it promotes metabolism and assists with weight
management. Lastly, it enhances the nervous system, particularly alleviating
mental fatigue, preventing neurasthenia, and positively affecting the internal
balance and emotional regulation of the body.
