Sports News] According to reports from British media, Brighton has lodged a
complaint with UEFA regarding the behavior of Roma fans during the recent
Europa League match between the two teams. Brighton alleges that Roma fans
threw objects at their own supporters. In a statement following the game,
Brighton stated, “We are aware that home fans have thrown bottles, coins,
and lighters into the away fans’ section. We have reported the incident to UEFA
and the Italian police, and we have requested immediate action.” It is
worth noting that prior to the match, two Brighton fans were stabbed in Rome. A
Brighton supporter mentioned that a group of fans he was with were attacked by
six individuals wearing face masks. Unfortunately, two of his friends were stabbed,
with one of them still undergoing observation in the hospital. The supporter
himself was also subject to punches and kicks. Approximately 3,500 Brighton
fans traveled to Rome to attend the first leg of the match.
