[Saba Sports News] Brandon Ingram is generating significant interest from teams across both conferences.
According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports, the New Orleans Pelicans forward, expected to be tradeable this offseason, has attracted attention from at least four potential suitors. Fischer names the Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks, and Sacramento Kings as teams actively monitoring Ingram’s situation.
Ingram, a former All-Star at 26, remains a compelling figure in the trade market. He has maintained a scoring average of over 20 points per game for five consecutive seasons and has evolved into a playmaker, averaging 5.7 assists per game last season. However, he lacks the profile of a primary offensive option and employs a slower, methodical style that may not align well with the Pelicans’ youthful core.
With one year left on his contract worth $36 million, the Pelicans are motivated to secure maximum value for Ingram sooner rather than later, rather than risk losing him for less at the trade deadline in February. As for which suitor among the mentioned teams might be the most suitable for the former No. 2 overall pick, indications suggest that a team already linked to him for months could emerge as the frontrunner.
