This week, Brooklyn Nets forward Ben Simmons shared a gym photo on his Instagram Story, featuring his former Philadelphia 76ers teammate, Matisse Thybulle, now with the Portland Trail Blazers. Simmons is infamous for his reluctance to shoot three-pointers, having made just 5 of 36 attempts (13.9%) over his six-year career, with his last successful three-pointer dating back to February 2021.
Thybulle, while not as notorious, also struggles from beyond the arc with a career three-point percentage of 33.8.
Given their shooting woes, it was only a matter of time before their workout photo sparked a fresh wave of jokes online. This comes just a month after Simmons trended for another unflattering reason related to the Donald Trump shooting meme.
