[Saba Sports News] According to previous official news
from Bayern in the Bundesliga, there were initial intentions to sign former
Bayern star Jerome Boateng. However, for various reasons, Bayern later
announced that they would not proceed with the signing. Despite this decision,
during Bayern’s home game against Freiburg in the Bundesliga, a significant number
of Bayern fans expressed their dissatisfaction in the stands. They displayed
banners protesting against the potential signing of Boateng, citing his
infamous reputation. One of the banners read: “Misogyny violence is not a
personal matter, stick to the values we preach.” Boateng, aged 35, had
played for Bayern from 2011 to 2021. As a cornerstone of the defense, he played
a crucial role during the club’s successful era, contributing to multiple
awards and achievements.
