was held for the 2024 Asian Badminton Championships, where it was officially
announced that the tournament would take place in Ningbo, China, starting on
April 9. During the press conference, Wang Chang, a world champion and
badminton men’s doubles player from Ningbo, was appointed as the event’s
ambassador. The event’s slogan, emblem, and mascot were also revealed. The
theme slogan for this Asian Championship is “Meet in Ningbo, Play in
Ningbo”. The emblem features two badminton balls joined together, forming
the shape of the letter “N” while resembling waves, representing the
coastal city of Ningbo with its global influence. The intertwined badminton
balls also resemble the Chinese character “人” and symbolize victory. The initial letter
“V” represents the Asian Championships as a witness to the collective
power of all participants, fostering connections and achieving mutual benefits
and success among Asian countries. The mascot of the Asian Championships is
named “Bobo”. It combines the image of a badminton player with a
smiling athlete, representing a sense of harmony, friendliness, and a spirit of
healthy and progressive sportsmanship.
