[Saba Sports News]With less than 10 days remaining until the start of the Paris Olympic badminton competition, Danish men’s singles players Viktor Axelsen and Anders Antonsen, who were previously training separately in Dubai, have now reunited in the Danish badminton national team to prepare for the Olympics. The Badminton World Federation recently conducted the Olympic group stage draw, and the No. 2 seed, Axelsen, is placed in the bottom half, while the No. 4 seed, Antonsen, is in the top half. Fortunately, both players managed to avoid many strong non-seeded players in the group stage, which bodes well for their chances. During an interview, Antonsen mentioned talented Indian men’s singles player Lakshya Sen, aggressive player Lee Cheuk Yiu, Canada’s top player Brian Yang, and France’s top player Zhu Neil Popov (Toma Junior Popov) as potential contenders. Axelsen specifically mentioned Lee Cheuk-yao and Lee Zii Jia, expressing his desire not to face them early in the competition. Danish media believe that Axelsen and Antonsen have a good chance of meeting in the Olympic badminton men’s singles final.
