[Saba Sports News] Recently, former Arsenal
manager Arsène Wenger gave an interview to the media, expressing his opinion
that there are quite a few foreign coaches in Ligue 1, which is not beneficial
for the development and promotion of the league. Data shows that this summer,
six Ligue 1 clubs changed their managers, with five of them opting for foreign
coaches. In the current season, half of the Ligue 1 teams are led by foreign
coaches. Some fans argue that in Europe, coaching qualifications are mutually
recognised, and there is no way to stop this trend. Other fans speculate that
Wenger, being a Frenchman, is paving the way for his own comeback as a coach
and he might become the next manager of Paris Saint-Germain.
