[Saba Sports News] A warrant has been issued for Sheng Gao, a Chinese exchange student accused of breaking into Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry’s home for an autograph. The 18-year-old failed to appear at his arraignment in Redwood City misdemeanor court, leading to the issuance of the arrest warrant, as reported by Tim Fang of CBS News.
Prosecutors claim that on October 15, Gao traveled by bus to Atherton, where Curry’s family lives, aiming to get Curry’s autograph. He managed to locate the Curry residence with assistance from a local woman. Allegedly, Gao entered the property by following someone through the gate and then walked into the house through an unlocked door.
He was confronted by a nanny who noticed him on surveillance and left the premises after their interaction. The incident reportedly occurred while Curry and his wife Ayesha were away, although their three children were at home.
