[Saba Sports News] Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards delivered a massive dunk during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
The Timberwolves trailed 77-71 midway through the third quarter at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Edwards drove into the paint and soared for the most vicious dunk of the postseason, catching Mavericks center Daniel Gafford off guard with his explosive leaping ability, starting his jump well beyond the restricted area.
Edwards, known for his impressive highlight reel of dunks, previously earned the NBA Dunk of the Year for his slam on Utah Jazz forward John Collins. Despite his stellar performance and pre-game declaration to step up, the Timberwolves fell to a 0-3 series deficit.
The Timberwolves lost 116-107 to the Mavericks in Game 3. Dallas’ dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined for 66 points on 22/40 shooting, making crucial shots down the stretch to edge Minnesota closer to elimination.
