[Saba Sports News] Anthony Davis offered a simple explanation for how Team USA narrowly avoided a major upset against Serbia in the Paris Olympics on Thursday.
After overcoming a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter to secure a 95-91 win and advance to the gold medal game, Davis summed up the victory with “two words — Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid.”
Curry led all scorers with 36 points, including 9/14 from three-point range, delivering clutch plays down the stretch. Embiid contributed 19 points, making key jump shots in the fourth quarter to help close the gap. LeBron James and Kevin Durant also made crucial plays late in the game.
Although Davis had just 4 points in 10 minutes, he praised his teammates’ performances, highlighting the depth of Team USA’s roster.
