Sports News] The Asian Badminton Team Championships have recently concluded. An
Se-young, a prominent badminton player from South Korea, discussed her injuries
and the team competition in a media interview. She expressed disappointment
over the Korean women’s team’s elimination and stated that she has not yet
fully showcased her true abilities after recovering from injury. Her ultimate
goal is to win the badminton gold medal at the Paris Olympics. In a surprising
announcement, she stated that she will not participate in any variety shows or
endorsement ads before the Olympics. This statement garnered attention, and her
coach, Ha-Kyoon Kim, supported her decision, emphasizing the importance of
avoiding overexposure and protecting herself. An Se-young has been cautious
about her media appearances and has only appeared on TV once since returning to
South Korea. It was not disclosed whether she would compete in the All England
Open in March. Given the severity of her injuries, it is speculated that she
may require an extended period of training and rehabilitation.
