[Saba Sports News] An Se Young, South Korea’s top badminton star who had been sidelined due to injury, has announced her return for the Singapore Badminton Open, garnering attention from media and fans. In a recent interview, An Se Young discussed her preparations for the Olympics and her feelings about participating in the upcoming competition. An Se Young stated, “The Olympics is a crucial goal, but every event on the calendar holds its own significance. The Singapore Open in 2024 will not occur again, so I want to focus on each event. I don’t want all my efforts to solely revolve around the Olympics.” An Se Young currently ranks among the top five in women’s singles worldwide. She gained fame at a young age, being selected for the Korean national team in 2017, making history as the first middle school student to achieve this honor. In subsequent years, she has earned numerous accolades, including the 2019 IBF Rising Star of the Year and the 2021 and 2022 BWF Tour Finals Championships.
