from South Korea, expressed regret for participating in the Indonesia Masters
after suffering an injury during the tournament. The Indonesian Masters is
currently underway, but An Se Young had to withdraw due to the injury she sustained
while competing in the Super 750 Series India Open quarterfinals. Her injury
has drawn attention, as it may affect her potential participation in the Paris
Olympics. Following her return to South Korea, An Se Young granted an interview
to the media, where she openly expressed her disappointment. She admitted to
over-preparing for the tournament and stated that it would be inappropriate to
compete in the Olympics while injured. She appeared concerned about the
situation. An Se Young is scheduled to undergo rehabilitation for the next five
weeks, and her participation in the Super 1000 All England Open in March will
depend on her recovery progress. Born in 2002, An Se Young has already
demonstrated her exceptional talent at a young age. She holds the distinction
of being the first middle school student in Korean history to be selected as a
badminton player. Additionally, she is the youngest ever Super 750 champion,
Super 1000 champion, and BWF World Tour Finals champion in the history of the
BWF Tour.
