[Saba Sports News] Manchester United’s 0-1 loss to
Crystal Palace in the 7th round of the Premier League raised concerns among
fans regarding the coach, Erik ten Hag, and his tactical choices. During the
match, Sofyan Amrabat, typically a defensive midfielder, was deployed as a left
back. His defensive performance was rather rugged, and he struggled to keep up
with the pace of the game. Remarkably, he resorted to using his hands for
defensive purposes on three occasions. Crystal Palace players expressed their
dissatisfaction with Amrabat’s actions, as he only received a single yellow
card for these instances. They protested to the referee multiple times. Some
fans mockingly suggested that Amrabat was playing the role of a goalkeeper. It
appears that this tactic is employed in Serie A, where players intentionally
fall to the ground, pull the ball back, and allow the game to be halted.
