[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, companies like Amazon are in negotiations with Liverpool to purchase the documentary rights for Jurgen Klopp’s final season as manager. It is reported that the series will consist of eight episodes, filmed during the 2023-24 season, documenting Klopp’s last few months at Liverpool when the team was chasing a quadruple but ultimately only secured the League Cup and finished third in the Premier League. The documentary is produced by Lorton Entertainment and began filming last December. After news of the documentary emerged in January, Disney’s streaming platform “Disney+” became one of the hot contenders for its rights, having previously acquired the rights to the successful football documentary “Welcome to Wrexham.” Klopp had previously expressed concerns about filming a documentary and stated that he would leave the club if Fenway Sports Group agreed to it. However, since this is his last time as Liverpool’s manager, Klopp changed his mind and agreed to the filming. The series will provide fans with insights into life in the Liverpool locker room, with celebrations of the League Cup victory being one of the most significant segments, focusing mainly on the club’s daily culture, community, and fan base.
