[Saba Sports News] There’s some encouraging news on Paul George’s injury. George left the 76ers’ preseason game against the Hawks on Monday after hyperextending his knee in the second quarter.
Though the injury looked concerning, the 76ers updated Tuesday that an MRI showed no structural damage. George has a bone bruise and will be out for at least a week.
At 34, George is no stranger to injuries, having missed 127 games over five seasons with the Clippers. The 76ers took a calculated risk signing him this offseason. Last season, George averaged 22.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, and he’s now starting a 4-year, $211 million contract.
