(sabasports report)As Ukraine drew 0-0 with Belgium, they became the first team in the 24-team era to fail to advance from the group stage with four points. Artem Dovbyk had a lacklustre performance in the race. Dofbeek is not alone, however, as the tournament has been a nightmare for La Liga’s top five scorers. With Robert Lewandowski and Ante Budimir out and Alexander Sørloth out of the tournament, Jude Bellingham was the only lucky one to make the round of 16, but not without criticism.
In the 23/24 La Liga season just ended, Dofbik came out on top with 24 goals, successfully overtaking Bellingham and Levan, and becoming the first La Liga golden shoe from non-Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico since Diego Forlan. With 24 goals, he equalled the record set by Andriy Shevchenko.
At the European Championship, however, Dofbeek’s performance was disappointing. He hesitated on the court, thinking about life for many times, three games averaged 82 minutes, goals and assists both hung zero. Ukraine fought hard to get four points, but still finished fourth in Group E on goal difference, losing hope of qualifying and heading home early.
