The two teams last met in the 2008 final, when Spain won the tournament 1-0 against Germany. Spain fielded the same starting line-up as in the 1/8 final: Robin Le Normand teamed up with Aymeric Laporte in central defence, with Dani Carvajal and Marc Cucurella on either side, The midfield is Rodri, Pedri and Fabian Ruiz, with Alvaro Morata in front and Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal on either side. Germany made a lot of positional changes: Jonathan Tah returned to his starting partner Antonio Rudiger after being booked, Joshua Kimmich on the right, David Raum on the left, The midfielder Emre Can was paired with Toni Kroos, Ilkay Gundoğan was in front, Hafts was in the centre of the attack and Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane were on either side.
